Job Description

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The successful candidate will be based out of Pasadena, Texas with responsibility for 3-4 direct reports as well as additional contract staff. The job responsibilities include easement acquisition, property purchase, encroachments and record maintenance. The candidate must have experience in negotiating real estate transactions, deed and title review, document drafting and familiarity with Texas and Louisiana real estate laws and regulations.
  • Support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies, and be accountable for the performance of these programs in the plant maintenance department.
  • Uses CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance. Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment records in Maximo, and that all maintenance work including planned and unplanned work is scheduled and recorded through CMMS.
  • Ensures all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or job plan changes associated with the work are accurately recorded within CMMS, and work is closed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates directly with Purchasing and National Warehouse regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
  • Manages onsite warehouse technician, shipping, and receiving
  • Plans and schedules maintenance activities such as inspections, instrument calibrations, and equipment preventive maintenance and supports coordinating capital project workload as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains a weekly maintenance schedule.
  • Plans all activities associated with planned plant outages with direction from plant maintenance management team.
  • Communicates regularly with operations and maintenance to be aware of engineering projects and current plant conditions which may impact schedule
  • Provides input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Completes any and all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Supports internal and external audits as needed.
  • Maintains high level of service and work performance, and also supports and promotes a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in plant maintenance activities
  • Ability to learn/follow national/local standard operating procedures; follow through on instructions; work with minimal supervision; read/interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P and IDs, electrical schematics.
  • Perform basic math operations.
  • Experience with CMMS; ability to use required software computer applications.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Thorough understanding of safety requirements when working around plant equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to foster teamwork and navigate matrix organizations.
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Millwright experience
  • Experience with Air Separation, Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Compressors, Boilers, Clarifiers, and de-ionized Water a plus
  • Maximo experience
  • General knowledge of Mechanical maintenance
