What is DHL’s Next Generation Industrial Projects (IP) Rotational Trainee Program?


As a recent graduate or young professional, our program offers you an exceptional start to your career with DHL Industrial Projects (IP). Over 24 months, you will gain experience in various functions, working across four countries in three different continents: Houston, TX (USA) will be your home base, with planned three-month rotations abroad to Dubai, Germany, and Singapore.

To achieve this, you will be placed in up to nine different functional assignments of 3 months each. The foundational assignments, consisting of Operations, Tendering, and Commercial, cover the foundations of our business. The non-foundational assignments, comprising of Marine Chartering, Controlling/P&L, Ocean Freight, Hub Operations/Control Tower, Digital, and Health Safety & Environment, enable you to further specialize into different functional domains.

Your professional development is also important to us. You will be mentored by a senior leader within IP, providing you with guidance and feedback and helping you to plan for your career. Beyond the company, you will also have unique opportunities to build your professional network, such as participating in customer engagements and attending leading industry conferences, paving the way to a bright future in the industry.




What WE look for:
·Excellent academic records in a relevant degree, including business/international business, supply chain, logistics, and engineering (GPA 3.0 minimum preferred) or 2+ years of relevant working experience, or military background
·Strong English communication skills (oral and written); an additional language will be beneficial
·Extra-curricular activities demonstrating strong team/leadership experience, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and customers
·Adaptable to changing working environments and sensitive to diverse working teams
·Inquisitive, willing to learn and accept new challenges and responsibilities; motivated towards career growth, learning, and development
·Willing to participate in a “hands-on” work environment, self-motivated with a can-do attitude, strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
·Full mobility and willingness to travel and stay in foreign countries (including Germany, UAE, Singapore) during multiple placements abroad
