Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Provide exceptional air quality and permitting services to our energy and industrial clients, including impact assessment
  • Conduct complex air dispersion modelling analysis using AERMOD and CALPUFF to support major source air permit applications
  • Calculate air emissions, determine required control technologies, report results and advise clients on potential mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare emission estimates based on site specific information using approved state and federal calculation methodologies
  • Conduct federal and state air quality regulatory review and assist in strategy development
  • Advise internal senior staff on environmental and permitting issues
  • Identify opportunities and prepare winning proposals; support in developing and managing client and market information
  • Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including economic and technical feasibility of air pollution control equipment
  • Prepare technically detailed air permit applications/registrations for submittal to federal and state agencies
  • Quality assurance - responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Environment & Society Practice
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safe working practices and understand and follow Worley occupational health and safety procedures
  • Travel as required for field programs and meetings

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in United States for any employers
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental planning, or equivalent; Advanced degree(s) preferred in the above-mentioned relevant disciplines
  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably with an environmental consulting organization, an operator, contractor or regulator
  • Strong foundational working knowledge of local, state, and federal air permitting and compliance regulations and policies
  • Experience with air models such as: EPA SLAB, ALOHA, CHARM, CALPUFF, or other puff model, AERMOD, Phast, Canary, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE leadership and technical excellence.
