How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Clinical Application Specialist enables the safe use of our inhaled nitric oxide therapy through product training, compliant dissemination of off-label information, and clinical/technical support for the drug and concomitant therapy devices in an assigned geography. In this role, the Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) will develop lasting relationships with clinical personnel including selected Key Opinion Leaders.

This position can be based anywhere in the United States. This is a remote position with an assigned geography. Should be located with easy access to an airport.

Primary responsibility is leading product training during both new product deployment and ongoing account support at key customer sites in their assigned geography, ensuring positive product experiences and optimizing patient outcomes. The CAS will provide expert guidance and education in the application of nitric oxide, and the function of our nitric oxide delivery system, in the ICU settings in acute care hospitals. The CAS will also be required to participate in an on-call program that supports end users outside of normal working hours.

  • Educate and support healthcare professionals on the safe use of our products in a compliant manner following Airgas Therapeutics guidelines. This includes overseeing customer device trials, leading product training during deployment and beyond, and answering clinical and technical support questions.

  • Act as an on-call clinical resource for clinical applications as well as troubleshooting our products, when required.

  • Support improved patient outcomes through compliant medical information dissemination.

  • Participate and facilitate internal product training for other Airgas Therapeutics personnel, including the commercial and production teams.

  • Gather any pharmacovigilance or product complaints from customers and report to Regulatory. Assist in complaint/ adverse event investigations, implementing recalls or other regulatory actions, liaising with customers and company personnel.

  • Developing a Key Opinion Leader network of physicians and other clinicians in their assigned geographic area in order to become experts in our nitric oxide offer. Works with the Key Opinion leaders to achieve a strong podium presence.

  • Gather field intelligence for marketing and business development, recognizing new opportunities for the company and identifying unmet medical needs and shifts in clinical practices.

  • Responsible for attending key trade shows and conferences in the applicable geography, and nationally as assigned.

  • Remain current on therapeutic advances, published literature, best practices and competing products. The CAS will both acquire and contribute to the internal clinical and medical resources, and be responsible for learning and disseminating information, as defined by the clinical and medical strategy.

  • Liaising with other Air Liquide subsidiaries for best practice sharing and continuous offer improvement, as needed.

________________________Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy. Licensed RRT.

  • At least 3 years Neonatal ICU experience including administering nitric oxide, preference for 5 or more years. Other ICU experience will be considered

  • Working knowledge of hospital clinical protocols and operations

  • Strong presentation skills and organizational skills.

  • Previous experience in a clinical training role and/or with highly regulated products which require compliance with legal and regulatory requirements a plus.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Valid RRT license and credentials

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires evenings, nights and weekends (on call) as per a rotating schedule

  • Required to teach evening and night shift personnel when in-servicing

  • Up to 75% travel

  • This position is home-office based

  • Prolonged standing, lifting medical equipment (up to 50lbs)
