Position Summary:

Provide oversight in the Operations FP&A department including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting related to Maintenance Capital Projects. The position reports to the Director of Operations FP&A.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the oversight of the annual budget and monthly forecasting process for Maintenance Capital Projects
  • Oversee detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metrics
  • Manage quarterly reporting of Maintenance Capital provided to Senior Management and assist with 10Q and 10K Management Discussion & Analysis
  • Support analysis for investor relations and board of directors
  • Lead subject matter expert for all budget and forecasting questions related to Maintenance Capital in the Midstream, Interstate, Intrastate, Crude and NGL segment
  • Identify trends in variances and make recommendations for financial improvement and optimization to management and operations Manage employees and prioritize tasks
  • Increase productivity and efficiency by developing automated reports and processes
  • Regularly present results, forecasts, and budgets to commercial, operations, and executive leadership
  • Provide Ad Hoc capital analysis to Operations and Commercial departments
  • Work closely with Accounting, HR, Insurance, Tax and other departments to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
  • Contribute to overall Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team goals as needed

Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements of this position are listed below:

* Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting

* 8+ years in Finance related position

* 4+ years of experience in Cost Controls or Financial Planning and Analysis

* 3+ years supervisory experience preferred

* Experience in the energy sector preferred

* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

* Demonstrated analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

* High level of communication skills, both verbal and written

* Highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks

* Self-starter with ability to learn quickly

* IBM Cognos TM1 experience preferred

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

* Usually, normal office working conditions.

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

* Occasional overnight travel may be required.
