Job Description

DNV's SCPA Business Area is looking to hire an Industrial Business Development Manger who will serve as the pivotal figure in the development, growth, and shaping of the specific set of services offered by SCPA within the Industrial Product Assurance Sector across North America.

The role is envisioned as a single contributor in 2024, with a 50/50 balance of sales in traditional areas and growth into new markets. This position is expected to grow into a line management role as the business development portfolio is expanded, and will include sales and marketing efforts in the North America Industrial Product Assurance area. The Industrial Business Development Manager operates in concert with sector area operations management, combines strategic, commercial, operational, and people leadership to ensure that the service line remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with the broader organizational objectives.

This position offers tremendous opportunity to develop a new, or newly focused service line, built on the solid foundation of DNV's traditional Product Assurance services. DNV offers competitive wages, benefits, sales incentive or profit sharing, and personal development/learning opportunities.

This role is 100% remote within the United States.

What You'll Do

1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Define and implement the global strategy for the service line to ensure growth, profitability, and market leadership.
  • Identify and prioritize key markets, segments, and customers for strategic focus.

2. Service Line Development:

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of services that cater to the evolving needs of global clients.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to customize service offerings according to regional nuances and requirements.

3. Sales and Business Development:

  • Participate with regions to establish challenging and co-owned sales targets and drive global sales and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop sales methodologies effective for service type, sales training, promotional campaigns, collateral, and market insights to enable extraordinary sales growth.
