Description

STV is seeking a skilled Bentley Systems Administrator specializing in software development, customization and administration to join our vibrant team in Houston, TX, as a part of our Digital Advisory group in The Centers of Excellence. The administrator will be responsible for customizing and integrating Bentley tools into the STV workflows, training and user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and improve engineering project operations by implementing and enhancing engineering technologies including "smart" Process and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID)
    software.

  • Study engineering project workflows to improve and maximize efficiency using engineering technologies as well as Process Instrumentation and controls and
    tools.

  • Articulate benefit and value in use of technology and smart P&ID solutions that client and technical users understand to support engineering projects execution and closeout.

  • Improve engineering project workflows by developing and supporting user training material for supporting work processes and use of smart P&ID systems.

  • Workclosely with process industrial, mechanical and chemical engineering disciplines to seek feedback to incrementally improve configuration of the P&ID toolset.

  • Support theinterface with 3D piping models.

  • Assess and improve plant design workflows utilizingsmart BIM tools, Bentley Open Plant Modeler, OpenPlant PID, I & C modeling software, SQL ServerReporting Services, Autodesk Plant 3D P&ID, Revit and Bentley ProjectWise.

  • Support deployment with benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations to promote value of industrial plant solutions.

  • Support users and advise project leaders andmanagement on improved workflows and processes to support and improve use of smartP&ID systems.

  • Perform software customizations using C# or PowerShell.

  • Create relational databases to structure andstore project information as well as perform development tasks on engineering softwareto create custom interfaces.

  • Create custom reports using SQL Server ReportingServices.

  • Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to minimize costs with the engineering teams.

  • Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.

  • Review engineering specifications.

  • Draft and design layout of equipment,materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting and computertools including AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation and Microsoft Visio.

  • Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards and recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel.

  • Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding production specifications or project status.

  • Studyoperations sequence, functional statements, organization charts and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.

  • Complete productionreports and equipment lists for engineering projects; evaluate precision and accuracyof engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plans; and regulate and alterworkflow schedules to expedite production operations.

  • Perform the above duties utilizing tools and technologies including, but not limited to: Process and Instrumentation Design (P&ID) software (Bentley OpenPlant PID and Autodesk Plant 3D PID), 3D modelling technologies (Bentley OpenPlant modeler, Autodesk Revit), Autodesk AutoCAD, SQL Server, IDE software, i-Models, VBScript, XML,Microsoft Visio, HMI (Human Machine Interface) software, SQL Server IntegrationServices, C#, Python, PowerShell and UID software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a closely related engineering field (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) and 5 years of post-degree experience.

  • Experience utilizing plant design and I&C modeling software.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation Range:

$98,497.00 - $131,329.00
