We are seeking a skilled and strategic Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging, managing communication channels, and fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging content for internal communication channels, including email newsletters, intranet articles, and employee announcements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, marketing, and executive leadership, to align internal communications with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Manage communication platforms and tools, such as intranet portals, collaboration software, and employee communication apps, ensuring they are user-friendly and accessible to all employees.
  • Support change management initiatives by developing communication plans and materials to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize employee resistance.
  • Monitor employee feedback and sentiment regarding internal communications and make recommendations for improvement based on data and insights.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and department heads on effective communication practices, including employee engagement, performance feedback, and recognition.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in internal communications, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement roles.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Slack, and enterprise social networking tools.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with change management principles and practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement strategies, including methods for measuring and improving employee satisfaction and morale.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication efforts.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and fostering a positive organizational culture.
