As a Senior Pricing Analyst at Norton Rose Fulbright, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing pricing strategies to enhance the firm's revenues and profitability. Working closely with the Pricing and Legal Project Management team, you will oversee the preparation of pricing proposals, including hourly rates, discounted rates, and alternative fee arrangements. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving profitability goals through strategic pricing initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies to increase firm revenues and profitability, in line with the overall pricing strategy.

  • Work with a team of Pricing Professionals in developing budgets, analyzing historical financial data, and proposing recommendations to increase efficiencies and profitability.

  • Consult with partners and stakeholders to devise alternative fee arrangements and hourly rate proposals that align with profitability objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive budgets and alternative fee structures, emphasizing key assumptions, success factors, and risk factors.

  • Coach partners and stakeholders on strategic pricing options and profitability levers, leveraging your expertise in pricing strategy, structures, and analytics.

  • Liaise with Practice Group Leaders and Firm Management to secure approvals for discounted hourly rate proposals and alternative fee arrangements.

  • Support bid teams by providing pricing guidance on national and global bids, serving as the subject matter expert in the RFP process.

  • Maintain and update pricing databases, tools, and templates to facilitate efficient pricing processes.

  • Collaborate with various teams firm-wide, including Business Development, Finance, and Legal Project Management, to ensure seamless proposal-to-matter transitions.

Qualification and experience/skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a legal environment.

  • Experience in pricing/negotiation/procurement environment, with expertise in pricing strategy, structures, and analytics.

  • Understanding of legal project estimation and management approaches, tools, and phases of the matter lifecycle.

  • Proven analytic and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present key pricing strategies and concepts to senior stakeholders.
