Description

SUMMARY

Administrative Support I is an entry level admin position that performs administrative tasks such as receptionist, file clerks, data entry clerks, scanners, document processing, office clerk, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages the company's lobby area. Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers via phone or in person. Ensures completion of paperwork, sign-in and security procedures. Handles special administrative projects, as well as overflow work from other assistants.
  • Sorts and prepares documents for imaging. Scans and verifies documents and indexes images.
  • Performs clerical tasks, such as arranging letters, memoranda, invoices and other indexed documents according to an established system. Operates office equipment and completes general office work.
  • Inputs information quickly and accurately from a variety of sources into a computer database.
  • Performs basic clerical tasks. Operates standard office equipment. May require computer and data entry skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.
