We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Analytics Engineer within our Data Management/Advanced Analytics and Modeling group based in Houston, TX.

In this role, you will be working on a crucial aspect of the energy industry. You will work with a team of scientists and engineers to tackle some of the most challenging problems in this field, using cutting-edge techniques and methodologies to drive innovation and help our clients make informed decisions.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, refinements, optimizations, and scalability of algorithm pipelines at scale
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mathematical algorithms and AI and ML models and data
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineers to understand their needs and help them with the end-to-end ML/AI development lifecycle.
  • Enhance the Cloud and MLOps culture and practices, enabling the team to create solutions with improved computational performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Optimize the performance of computational, ML, and LLM models in production environments in enterprise structures.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in high performance computing, ML, and AI, incorporating the learning into the organization's systems
  • Communicate with stakeholders and leadership to provide updates on progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Play a key role in the design and implementation of large computational infrastructure and tools at scale to support the development lifecycle
  • Work closely with users to respond effectively to issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Skills:

  • Strong experience in ML and AI, including:
    • Well-versed in parallel and distributed computing on the Cloud with CPU and GPU
    • Great algorithmic knowledge and data structures
    • Distributing tasks and partitioning data
    • Deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
    • Performance profiling
    • Monitoring and analyzing the performance of ML models in production.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's and/or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computational Mathematics or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience focused on deep industry and/or academic research related to Foundation of Computer Science, Numerical Modeling, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Mathematical Optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of linear algebra and probability and statistics.
  • Proficient in Python, Julia, and/or C/C++.
  • Expertise and experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective team player who takes an active role in team responsibilities.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Fundamental and theoretical understanding of Bayesian Statistics, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Mathematical Optimization is a plus.
