These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with Diversity Organizations receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCast’s™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience.

Crossroads at Park Place, Inc.

Crossroads at Park Place, Inc.CROSSROADS at Park Place, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a joint endeavor of Park Place United Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and Glenbrook United Methodist Church. It is administered by a volunteer board of directors, presenting broad range of social service, medical, ministerial, and non-profit experience. Located at the Park Place United Methodist Church, CROSSROADS opened its doors to homeless persons in October 2001 and has since then been providing services to promote their health, hygiene and dignity.

East Side Village Community Learning Center

East Side Village Community Learning CenterEast Side University Village Community Learning Center offers a range of programs such as job workplace readiness, Graduate Equivalency Degree classes, and technical training for free to the public. Students will have open door access to an alternative neighborhood based community technology center which in addition to basic computer skill classes offers: GED Preparation Classes, Life Skills Training Classes, basic conversational Spanish classes, After School Youth Computer Tutorials and English As a Second Language (ESL).

Saving Lives Through Alternate Options

Saving Lives Through Alternate OptionsThe Fresh Start Program is an employment placement program for recently released prisoners living in Harris County 18 years old and older who have been convicted and imprisoned as an adult and who have never been convicted of a violent or sex-related offense. The Fresh Start Program proposes to serve 250 recently release prisoners during the first year of the contract and 300 recently released prisoners annually for the remaining years of the contract.

Skills For Living

Skills For LivingSkills For Living is about breaking the cycle of poverty. As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, grass-root organization, Skills For Living (S4L) is dedicated to permanently improving the lives of low-income Houston families. S4L provides education and positive, practical mentoring to teach families how to define goals and implement strategies to enhance their lives and the lives of their children.

Westside Homeless Partnership

Westside Homeless PartnershipThe mission of the Westside Homeless Partnership (WHP) is to prevent and end homelessness for families by providing them with resources and supporting services that lead to self-sufficiency. WHP's program is designed to empower families with children within the Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) area to achieve self-sufficiency and permanent housing through personal effort, education and growth. One major objective is to protect the children's education by preventing the families from having to move from one school to another during the same school year.
